Scott Fail To Qualify

Grenada’s Candesha Scott failed to qualify for the final of women’s javelin at the World under 20 championships in Poland. Scott finished 13th overall recording her best throw on the second attempt of her allotted three, throwing 47.86 meters, improving on her 45.07 in the first.

   Grenada’s Candesha Scott failed to qualify for the final of women’s javelin at the World under 20 championships in Poland.

 

Scott finished 13th overall recording her best throw on the second attempt of her allotted three, throwing 47.86 meters, improving on her 45.07 in the first.

 

The St David’s Track Blazers athlete, finish off with a disappointing 46.84 meters in her third and final throw.

 

She was way below her personal best of 51.13 meters, which was established at the CARIFTA Games in Grenada in April.

 

Eda Tugsuz of Turkey took the top qualifying spot with a distance 57.77 meters in her final attempt.

Meanwhile Anderson Peters and Josh Boateng go into action 8:30am on Friday and 3:40pm on Saturday respectively.
